Day 7: It’s almost been a week on the road and I think we may have finally gotten into a groove. Plus the driving time isn’t as long as it was in the beginning.

We pretty much had rain for about 18 hours straight which is beautiful but we woke up to wet carpet in our bedroom. Thank God it was only in one corner so now we have to figure out where the leak is coming from. There’s always something with a motorhome but it’s always a journey.

After a beautiful drive from Kentucky to West Virginia we settled in at KOA Flatwood WV. It was pouring when we pulled in but it’s so beautiful and green everywhere.

Hailie has been keeping up her fitness routine on the road so today she went for a run and Manuel didn’t want anyone kidnapping her so he followed her even though he doesn’t like exercising.

Dinner was delicious at Lloyd’s Restaurant. Daniel got the special. Check out his gravy covered steak sandwich.

We decided to check out the town after dinner and found the most gorgeous countryside full of creeks, deer, cattle and the beautiful Sutton Lake Marina.

Hailie and Manuel missed their picture with the “Welcome to West Virginia” sign because it was raining and too dangerous to stop but they improvised you’ll see in the pictures.

See you down the road.
