Day 6: Today had a whole different vibe after yesterday’s emotional day. We woke up in St. Louis, traveled through Missouri, Illinois, Indiana then landed in Kentucky which we fell in love with Kentucky. It is so beautiful everywhere you look. We’re camping at Elkhorn Campground, the amenities are great. Nice big pool, miniature golf,
Playground, shuffleboard plus it’s surrounded by a river. There’s lightning bugs and loud bullfrogs. As we travel East the bugs seem to get bigger and bigger. I screamed as a BIG black bug crashed into our windshield because it was so loud. I’m grateful for my sweet Cousin Bonnie that called to check on me after yesterday’s post and we cried together then laughed and talked as she reminded me that we are “living the dream” that most people just talk about. As we were hanging up she said “go live your dream”. Tonight we took a walk by the river, swam in the pool, ordered pizza and just relaxed in the RV…because we’re not sitting in the dark with those big bugs. As Daniel was sitting by the pool sipping his drink he smiled and said “this is retirement, this is what you work for Manuel. Work hard then relax”. See you down the road. #thisisretirement #elkhorncampground #livingourdream #dreamsdocometrue #ourwindsofchange #thejourney
