Day 16:
Today we took a drive to the Jersey Shore and we were very surprised how beautiful New Jersey is, no wonder it’s called “The Garden State”. Everywhere you turn there’s beautiful Hydrangeas and many other flowers and trees.
Daniel didn’t know I’ve always wanted to go to Asbury Park until we got there and I was so excited. Bruce Springsteen was my obsession in the 80’s. He grew up in the town we’re camping in. He played at the “Stone Pony”. So being here with all this history made me feel like a teenager again. I literally camped over night at Music Plus on Whittier Blvd. to get tickets to his concert. Yes, I know I’m dating myself.
It was even more beautiful because it rained while we were walking on the boardwalk. The ocean and rain are a perfect pair.
Afterwards we drove up the coast and discovered some of the most massive, expensive homes I’ve ever seen. It’s like Beverly Hills but they’re open for you to see their homes, cars and massive wealth. In Beverly Hills everyone builds a fortress around their homes.
Well have a restful night, enjoy your families and have dessert. Life is unpredictable, live large.
See you down the road.
