Day 20:
I couldn’t blog last night because we got at least 5” of rain and I couldn’t see the road to drive where the WiFi worked but we had an amazing day at Mystic, Connecticut.
If you’ve ever watched the movie “Mystic Pizza” you’ll know this town. This was a bucket list place for me and it lived up to all my anticipation.
For one Connecticut is so green. Flowers blooming everywhere. It’s gorgeous!
When we got the Mystic, we started by watching the draw bridge go up to allow a sailboat to pass. We then walked through the town filled with cute shops. I loved the store name “Fatface”. We then had lunch at the famous “Mystic Pizza A Slice of Heaven” and it really was the best pizza I’ve ever had.
Afterwards we walked around some more then drove around to see all the cute houses in the neighborhood.
I truly love it here but knowing that in two months it will be covered in snow, it’s not a place we want to live to, only visit again.
While I was laying in bed last night saying my prayers “Lord please protect my girls, keep Daniel and I healthy, please don’t let the RV leak, don’t let the river over flow, don’t let us get hit by lightning, etc.”. I realized how random life and death are. It could be any time and way that we are gone and I then prayed that all my friends and family know Jesus because in the end, that’s all that matters.
P.S. Thank God we survive last nights hurricane and flash flood concerns and today it’s partly sunny, cold and feels great outside. I’m wearing jeans and Ugg’s.
See you down the road.
