Day 18:
Today was about recuperation from NY and relaxation.
We slept in; I woke up, walked the dogs, then took a nap while Daniel was still sleeping.
We took the dogs to the lake area to just sit and take in the beauty for hours. I love the black duck. It’s so beautiful.
Every time I would walk away to take a picture or use the restroom, Daniel said the dogs would whine the whole time. One picture is of them just watching me walk away, sadly. Roxy and Lyla are great travel buddies. They haven’t had one accident, even when we left them for 11 hours.
I walk every day to help with my sciatic and arthritis. Sometimes it’s painful, but moving is better than getting stiff, so we walked back to the lake to take sunset pictures and talked with some fishermen and women. The video is hard to see, but it’s a turtle stealing the bait off their hooks.
We just stayed in tonight and packed up because tomorrow we drive to Connecticut. It will be a long drive since we’re going through NYC in a RV towing our car. Sounds like a National Lampoon movie.
Thank you for all the prayers of good health and safe travels. Feel free to fly out and meet us on the road.
See you down the road.
